Hope
There Has Never Been Anything False About Hope.
It is almost time for us as a nation to elect a new president. We have two choices. Barbara and I have chosen to vote for Barack Obama. Your choice may differ. We respect that. All we ask is that you make that decision based on what you think is best using your heart, mind, and soul. Please don’t make it based on fear or hate which is easy to do in times such as these. We have two wars and one of the worst economic events in modern history, and it is easier than ever to remain divided as a nation. Yet I find myself as hopeful as I have ever been. That hope is strengthened for me by my wife and son. Barack Obama gives me hope as well. Some of you might be voting for John McCain because he gives you hope. If that is the case then you give me hope too. We will get through this, and we will be stronger for it.
Thanks and God bless!

I hope, I hope, I hope …
I thought John McCain was very gracious tonight. I felt that he was sincere. You could see the disappointment in his eyes, but I still felt that he meant what he was saying.
Obama is speaking now, and he speaks well of McCain. I hope to one day look back a this day and discuss with Ethan how important it really is.
