Well, Ethan’s third birthday rapidly approaches, and I am looking at finishing my masters in about 4 months. Where does the time ago? Barbara, Ethan, and I will be traveling to Mobile, Alabama for a little b-day cake with family and friends. I am looking forward to it. We got the new carpet down in the house, and it feels like we moved into a new home. Barbara and I were talking the other day about how strange something like new carpet can sort of “tie things together”. We have been moving at lightning speed, and we are ready to just slow down and enjoy each other. Ethan is developing by leaps and bounds. He is smart, and lately he has been showing signs of humor. He has a great face he makes where he can purposefully raise a single eyebrow (à la John Belushi). It is quite funny.

Anyway, I also came across a great article about someone I really respect, Jon Stewart. While it is common knowledge that he is well liked by liberals, he apparently is, at least a little bit, admired by conservative pundits as well for their treatment when they appear on The Daily Show. Ethan at the Georgia Aquarium. He loved it. It was good fun.

I think this will be the first Christmas that Ethan really appreciates. We put the tree up yesterday while he was in school, and when he came home he lit up and said “Wow!” He loved it. Anyway, we hope that everyone has a great holiday season. Kelly and Calvin’s party was a success, and their house looked so very fabulous!

Election is over and it is time to move on! This semester will be wrapping up for me in a month or so, and it is time to refocus. Thanksgiving is coming soon, and we will be having a little family get together. Also, Kelly and Calvin are having their housewarming soiree and Calvin’s birthday. That should be fun. Maybe they will let Ethan DJ…

Haven’t been blogging at all so with the election coming up I decided to redo the website. Trim it down and simplify it some. I will try to make a better effort at keeping everyone updated. School is going well, but it is very time consuming. I finished my first nurse practitioner rotations. I did them in the ER. It was great. Very challenging and I learned that I have much to learn.

Ethan is coming along with leaps and bounds. He is more verbal, and we are having conversations! He is full of that little boy engergy, wonder, and curiosity.

We have a ton of new pictures and I will try to get them posted as soon as I can. I might even try my hand a video. We have some on tape, I am just not sure how to get on the website.
